pankreatiska

Pankreatiska is a Swedish adjective meaning pancreatic or relating to the pancreas. It is used to describe tissues, cells, fluids, or diseases that originate in or involve the pancreas.

The pancreas is an elongated organ located in the abdomen behind the stomach. It has both exocrine and endocrine functions: exocrine tissue produces digestive enzymes that flow into the small intestine, while endocrine tissue forms the islets of Langerhans, which regulate blood glucose through hormones such as insulin and glucagon.
