Pallars is a historical and geographic region in the northern part of Catalonia, located in the province of Lleida. It comprises the two contemporary comarques Pallars Sobirà and Pallars Jussà and sits in the Pyrenees, spanning a landscape of high mountains, deep valleys, and river basins. The Noguera Pallaresa and other Pyrenean rivers flow through the area, shaping its settlement patterns and ecosystems.
