pHváltozás refers to the change in the acidity or alkalinity of a solution. The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14, with 7 being neutral. Values below 7 indicate acidity, and values above 7 indicate alkalinity (or basicity). A change in pH means the concentration of hydrogen ions (H+) or hydroxide ions (OH-) in the solution has altered.

Several factors can cause pHváltozás. The addition of acids or bases is the most direct method. Acids release H+ ions, lowering the pH, while bases release OH- ions or accept H+ ions, raising the pH.
