Påtrykk is a Norwegian term used in several related fields to denote an imprint, an impression, or an addition printed after the original production. The primary sense is the physical imprint left by pressure, such as the mark produced when a stamp, seal, or engraving is pressed onto a surface like paper or leather. In this sense, påtrykk refers to the tangible imprint or impression resulting from pressing.
