otkazilganidan
Otkazilganidan is a form in Uzbek grammar that combines the past passive participle otkazilgan, derived from the verb otkazmoq (“to postpone” or “to transfer”), with the suffix -idan, a genitive/ablative postposition. The result is a participial construction used to link clauses and to indicate temporal relation, especially the moment after something has been postponed or moved.
Morphologically, otkazmoq -> otkazilgan (past passive participle) -> otkazilganidan when the suffix -idan attaches to the participle. The
Usage and function: otkazilganidan is primarily used to express temporal sequence relative to postponement. It can
- Tadbir otkazilganidan keyin bo’lib o’tdi. The event took place after it had been postponed.
- Yig’ilish otkazilganidan so’ng boshlash mumkin. It is possible to begin after the meeting has been postponed.
