ostanut

Ostanut is a Finnish verb form derived from ostaa, meaning “to buy.” It is the singular past active participle and is used with the auxiliary olla to form perfect tenses, indicating a completed buying action. For example, Olen ostanut uuden tietokoneen (I have bought a new computer). Olemme ostaneet kahdeksan autoa tänä vuonna (We have bought eight cars this year). Hän on ostanut lahjan (He/she has bought a gift).

In Finnish, the related plural form is ostaneet, which appears with plural subjects in perfect constructions, for example: Olemme ostaneet useita tuotteita (We have bought several products).
