Orbitaelles are ultra-compact orbital devices described in speculative space engineering and science fiction as modular, autonomous units capable of stable operation in planetary or lunar orbits. The concept envisions platforms ranging from tens of grams to several kilograms, built from interchangeable shells, and designed to be deployed individually or as a swarm to form flexible orbital architectures.

Each orbitaelle is imagined with a core bus, modular payload bays, and a tiny propulsion system such as ion or cold-gas microthrusters. Power comes from compact solar panels or small generators. Onboard computers handle navigation, attitude control, and inter-satellite communications. The design emphasizes redundancy, swarm coordination, and software-driven reconfiguration.

Deployment can occur from a carrier spacecraft or from autonomous release into a target orbit, with units joining to form networks or reshaping configurations as needed.
