To calculate the omsättningstalet, you divide the cost of goods sold (COGS) by the average inventory value. The cost of goods sold represents the direct costs attributable to the production or purchase of the goods sold by a company during a period. Average inventory is typically calculated by taking the sum of the beginning and ending inventory for the period and dividing by two.

A high omsättningstalet generally indicates that a company is selling its inventory quickly, which can suggest strong sales or efficient inventory management.
