Oljetråget (Swedish for "oil pan" or "oil sump") is the lower reservoir of an internal combustion engine or other oil-lubricated machinery that collects and stores lubricating oil. Mounted beneath the crankcase, it receives oil returning from the engine and supplies the oil pump pickup with a steady source of fluid. The oil pan also helps dissipate heat and can contain baffles or windage trays to reduce oil sloshing and improve lubrication under acceleration or cornering.

Common designs include a one-piece pressed steel or stamped aluminum pan for passenger vehicles and cast alloy or composite units for heavier engines. Typical features are a drain plug for oil changes, a gasket or sealant between the pan and engine block, and mounting bolts; some pans incorporate sensors, pickup tubes, or integrated oil filters and filters housings in certain engine layouts.

Problems associated with oljetråget include leaks from gasket failure, corrosion, damage from road debris or impact, and stripped drain plugs or bolt threads. Proper maintenance includes regular inspection for leaks or damage, timely oil and filter changes, and correct torqueing of fasteners. Replacement is a common repair when the pan is cracked or distorted.

Disposal of drained oil must follow local environmental regulations. In performance and racing applications, specialized oil pans and baffling systems are used to maintain oil control under extreme conditions.
