Regulatory bodies in many countries set occupational exposure limits for mineral oil mists, and measurements are conducted using gravimetric or optical methods. Preventive measures emphasize source control, proper ventilation, regular maintenance of seals and filtration systems, oil mist collection devices, and appropriate personal protective equipment.
