oligoottetuli
Oligoottetuli is a rare genetic disorder characterized by the absence of the ability to produce sweat. This condition is caused by a mutation in the gene responsible for the production of sweat glands, leading to the absence of eccrine sweat glands in the skin. Individuals with oligoottetuli do not produce sweat, which can result in a variety of symptoms and complications. These may include recurrent skin infections, skin ulcers, and a higher risk of developing skin cancer due to the lack of natural skin cleansing. The disorder is inherited in an autosomal recessive manner, meaning that both copies of the gene in each cell have mutations. Diagnosis is typically made through genetic testing, and there is currently no cure for oligoottetuli. Management focuses on maintaining skin hygiene, preventing infections, and addressing any complications that may arise. Supportive care, such as regular skin examinations and the use of moisturizers, can help improve the quality of life for individuals with this condition.
