ofsa
Ofsa may refer to several entities, most notably the Ontario Financial Services Authority. The Ontario Financial Services Authority was a proposed regulatory body in Ontario, Canada. It was intended to merge the mandates of the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) and the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario (DICO). The goal was to create a more streamlined and efficient approach to regulating the financial services sector in the province, covering insurance, pensions, credit unions, loan and trusts, and the mortgage brokering industry. However, the proposed OFSA was later rescinded and its functions were instead absorbed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA). FSRA is now the primary regulator for financial services in Ontario, overseeing conduct and solvency for a wide range of financial institutions and services.
In other contexts, "ofsa" might be an acronym or a name used in less common or more
