Objektstrålen is a term used in optics to describe the bundle of light rays that originate from a specific point on an object and travel through an optical system, such as a lens or microscope, toward the image plane. The concept is central to understanding how points on an object are mapped to points in the image.

After refraction, the rays converge to form the image point corresponding to the original object point, or they appear to diverge from a virtual image point if the system is not focused on that plane.
