Nonaccount is a term used in information technology and digital services to describe interactions, data, or content that occur without a registered user account. It denotes a mode of operation in which a user can participate without creating or signing in to an account, or in which data is not tied to a persistent identity. The concept contrasts with authenticated or account-based interactions, where activities are associated with a specific user profile.

In practice, nonaccount interactions appear in features such as guest checkout, guest posting or commenting, anonymous submissions, and forms that accept input from unauthenticated users. Some systems may create a temporary or ephemeral "nonaccount" record to manage the session (for example, a guest cart in e-commerce) but do not assign a durable user identity. Data collected from nonaccounts is often limited to what is necessary for the interaction, and may be tracked by non-identifying means such as session IDs, IP addresses, or device fingerprints rather than by a user account.

The term is informal and context-dependent, and it is not standardized across industries. It raises considerations around privacy, security, moderation, and user experience: nonaccounts can reduce barriers to entry but may limit personalization and accountability, complicate abuse prevention, and affect data retention policies.
