There are several common types of nivåbrytare. Float switches are perhaps the simplest, utilizing a buoyant component that rises or falls with the liquid level, actuating a mechanical switch. Capacitive level switches measure changes in capacitance caused by the presence or absence of the medium. Vibrating fork level switches employ a tuning fork that vibrates at a specific frequency; when immersed in a medium, the vibration is dampened, signaling a level change. Other types include conductive, optical, ultrasonic, and radar level switches, each employing different physical principles to achieve level detection. The choice of level switch depends on factors such as the properties of the medium, operating pressure and temperature, and the required accuracy and reliability.
