nepas
Ne pas is the standard French negation used to negate a verb. In modern French, the negation is formed with two particles: ne precedes the verb and pas follows it, as in Je ne sais pas or Il n’y a pas de problème. In formal writing and most speech, ne...pas is required. In informal spoken French, the ne is often dropped, yielding structures like Je sais pas or On va pas. When the verb begins with a vowel or mute h, ne becomes n’ before the verb, as in Il n’est pas content.
The two-part negation can accompany all tenses and moods, including compound tenses with auxiliary verbs: Je
Beyond the French grammar term, NEPAS or nepas may appear as an acronym, brand name, or project
