neonreklámok
Neonreklámok, often referred to as neon signs, are a distinctive form of illuminated advertising and decoration. They are created by bending glass tubes into specific shapes and letters, which are then filled with a noble gas, typically neon. When an electric current is passed through the gas, it excites the atoms, causing them to emit light. The color of the light depends on the gas used and any coatings applied to the inside of the glass tubes. Neon gas itself produces a reddish-orange glow, while other gases like argon or helium can produce different colors, or the glass can be coated with phosphors that fluoresce in various hues when exposed to ultraviolet light generated by the gas discharge.
The invention of neon lighting is credited to French inventor Georges Claude, who demonstrated his neon lamp
