Neelamisvõimet, a term originating from Estonian folklore, refers to the perceived ability of certain individuals to absorb or possess the qualities of objects or beings through acts of consumption. This concept is deeply rooted in animistic beliefs where the essence of a thing is thought to be transferred to the consumer. Historically, it was believed that eating a specific part of an animal, for instance, could bestow certain characteristics of that animal upon the person.
