narsalarning

Narsalarning is a grammatical form in Uzbek that expresses the genitive or possessive relationship for the plural noun narsalar, meaning things or objects. It is formed by taking the plural suffix -lar to the base noun narsa (thing) to produce narsalar (things), and then adding the genitive/possessive suffix -ning to indicate “of” or “belonging to.” The resulting form roughly translates to “of the things” or “the things’.”

In usage, narsalarning functions to link a set of things with a property, action, or another noun. It appears in noun phrases and sentence structures to attribute characteristics, quantities, or relations to a group of items. For example, phrases like Narsalarning sifati (the quality of the things) or Narsalarning narxlari (the prices of the things) are common in both written and spoken Uzbek. The form agrees with the plural nature of narsalar and governs the accompanying nouns in a phrase.

Morphologically, the structure can be viewed as root noun narsa, plural suffix -lar to form narsalar, and the genitive/possessive suffix -ning attached to yield narsalarning. This combination is typical for expressing possession or attribution to a group of items and can be extended with additional nouns to form larger noun phrases, such as Narsalarning muammolari (the problems of the things) or Narsalarning xususiyatlari (the characteristics of the things).

Narsalarning is most commonly encountered in formal written Uzbek, academic texts, statistics, and journalism, where precise attribution to a group of items is required. It remains a standard example of how Uzbek handles plural and possessive suffixes in a single noun phrase.
