mücver

Mücver is a traditional Turkish dish consisting of fried zucchini patties, or fritters. The core ingredients are grated or finely chopped zucchini mixed with eggs, flour or breadcrumbs, and chopped fresh herbs such as dill and parsley. Onions or green onions and garlic are common additions, and some versions include crumbled feta or ricotta cheese for extra flavor. The mixture is seasoned with salt and pepper, formed into small patties or sticks, and shallow-fried in oil until golden and crisp.

There are regional and family variations. Some recipes use yogurt in the batter or serve with a garlicky yogurt sauce. Baking instead of frying is also used as a lighter option. Mücver can be served as a meze, a vegetarian main dish, or as part of a larger meal, typically accompanied by lemon wedges, yogurt sauce, or fresh salad.
