märkäpukujen
Märkäpuku, commonly known as a wetsuit, is a garment, usually made of foamed neoprene, which is worn by surfers, divers, windsurfers, kayakers, and others engaging in water sports, providing thermal insulation, abrasion resistance and buoyancy. The name "wetsuit" is a bit of a misnomer. A wetsuit is designed to trap a thin layer of water between the suit and the wearer's skin. This water is then warmed by body heat, creating an insulating barrier. The effectiveness of the wetsuit depends on this trapped water layer.
Wetsuits come in various thicknesses, measured in millimeters, to suit different water temperatures and activity levels.
The material, foamed neoprene, contains tiny gas bubbles that provide insulation and buoyancy. The outer surface
