Muutajat is a Finnish noun meaning "movers" or "people who relocate," formed from the verb muuttaa ("to move" or "to relocate") with the agent-noun suffix -ja. The plural form is muutajat and the singular is muuttaja. The term is used primarily in demography, housing policy, and urban planning to refer to individuals who have changed their registered place of residence during a defined period, whether within Finland or across national borders.
