mower
A mower, or lawn mower, is a machine designed to cut grass to an even height across a lawn or other vegetation. Most models use a rotating blade or set of blades to slice the grass as the machine passes over the surface. Regular mowing promotes a denser, healthier turf by encouraging uniform growth and helping to control weeds. Grass clippings may be discharged behind the mower, collected in a bag, or mulched to feed the lawn.
Mowers vary by power source and design. Manual reel mowers are push-operated and rely on scissor-like blades.
Historically, mowing machines were developed in the 19th century; the first practical lawn mower was invented
