Moreenimuodostelmat refer to landforms created by glacial till, which is unsorted and unstratized sediment deposited directly by a glacier. These formations are a direct result of the erosional and depositional power of ice sheets.

The most common type of moreenimuodostelma is ground moraine, also known as till plain. This is a relatively flat or gently undulating expanse of till left behind as a glacier retreats. It can vary greatly in thickness and composition depending on the bedrock and the ice flow.

Another significant formation is end moraine, which forms at the margin of a glacier where it deposits a concentrated ridge of till. These can be terminal moraines, marking the furthest extent of a glacier, or recessional moraines, formed during periods when the glacier paused during its retreat. End moraines often appear as arcuate ridges.

Other moreenimuodostelmat include lateral moraines, formed along the sides of a valley glacier, and medial moraines, which occur when two glaciers merge and their lateral moraines combine. Drumlins are streamlined, elongated hills composed of till, often found in groups, and are believed to be shaped by the flow of ice over existing till deposits. Eskers are sinuous ridges of sand and gravel deposited by meltwater streams flowing within, under, or upon a glacier. Kettle holes, depressions formed by the melting of buried ice blocks, are often found within till plains.
