Modeshow is a term used primarily in German-speaking contexts to describe a public presentation of a designer's latest clothing collection. The term combines mode (fashion) and show (display) and is generally synonymous with the English word fashion show, though it can appear in media as Modeshow written as one word.

Typically, a modeshow involves models walking a runway or, in alternative formats, garments displayed on racks or mannequins in a showroom setting or during a digital presentation streamed to an audience of buyers, press, and sometimes the public.

Purpose: to demonstrate design details, fit, texture, color, and styling; to attract buyers, generate press coverage, and shape brand image.

Formats: live runway with choreography, music, and lighting; fashion presentations with seating and displays; digital or hybrid shows, which have become common in recent years.
