Minxi, or Western Fujian (闽西), is a historical and geographic term referring to the western part of Fujian Province in southeastern China. The name combines the province’s abbreviation (Min) with xi, meaning west, and it has been used to describe the western reaches of Fujian in various administrative and cultural contexts.
