milliónál
Milliónál is the locative-case form of the Hungarian noun millió (million). It is used to indicate a location or threshold at the level of one million in quantitative expressions, especially in formal or statistical language and in comparisons. The base form millió can take different case endings, and milliónál corresponds to “at a million” or “at the level of a million.” For plural references to multiple millions, the form is millióknál.
The singular form is built from millió plus the locative suffix -nál, yielding milliónál. When referring to
A város lakossága egymilliónál több embert számlál. (The city’s population counts more than one million people.)
In everyday speech, speakers may prefer alternatives such as egymillió or körülbelül egymillió for approximate quantities.
