Another aspect of midshooting is pick-up shots. These are short, additional shots filmed after the main production period to fill in gaps, improve continuity, or clarify narrative points. Pick-ups are usually less extensive than full reshoots and might involve only a few actors or even just B-roll footage. In some cases, midshooting can also refer to necessary adjustments or additions made during the filming process itself, such as incorporating new dialogue or modifying a scene based on emergent creative ideas from the director or writers on set.
