Meyllrindn is a fictional coastal city-state in the fantasy world of Asterra. It sits at the head of a sheltered bay on the realm’s southern frontier and is a major hub for maritime trade and guild life. The name derives from two founding clans, Meyll and Rindn; the suffix -n is a regional marker.

The city occupies a limestone bluff above the harbor, with a river delta feeding fertile hinterlands. The harbor supports shipyards and markets, while glassmaking from local silica dunes complements the spice and silk trade that passes through its ports.

Founded as a mercantile outpost in the early medieval era by Meyllian and Rindin merchants, Meyllrindn grew into a sovereign city-state with a guild-based constitution. It forms part of regional alliances and has weathered maritime conflicts, adopting reforms to stabilize trade. The city is a republic; major guilds appoint representatives to the Council of Nine, and the Stadhold is elected by the council for a five-year term. Mercantile law and local ordinances govern daily life.

Meyllrindn sustains a bilingual culture, with Meyllian and Rindin spoken widely. It hosts annual guild festivals, maritime rites, and public markets. Notable sites include Glassspire Tower, the Amber Library, and the Old Docks Quarter. The Amber Academy trains merchants, navigators, and scribes.
