Metal production refers to the industrial processes involved in extracting, refining, and manufacturing metals. These processes are fundamental to modern civilization, providing materials for construction, manufacturing, technology, and countless other applications. The journey of metal from its raw state to a finished product typically begins with mining. Ores, which are naturally occurring rocks containing valuable metal compounds, are extracted from the earth.
