Mesterképzéshez refers to the process of pursuing a master's degree program in Hungary. It is the second cycle of higher education, following a bachelor's degree (alapképzés). Master's programs offer specialized knowledge and advanced skills in a particular field, preparing graduates for complex professional roles or further academic study.

These programs typically last for two years, although some may be one or two and a half years long. Admission requirements usually include a relevant bachelor's degree and a successful application, which may involve entrance exams, interviews, or portfolio submissions, depending on the specific program and institution.

The curriculum of a master's program often includes advanced theoretical courses, research methodologies, practical training, and a thesis (szakdolgozat) or thesis equivalent. Graduates are equipped with analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, making them competitive in the job market.
