Meiosische is an adjective used to describe phenomena, structures, or processes that pertain to meiosis, the specialized form of cell division that halves the chromosome number to produce haploid gametes in sexually reproducing organisms. In English, the standard adjective is meiotic, and "meiosische" is a less common or translation-derived form occasionally found in scientific texts to emphasize meiosis-specific character.

Meiosische features include the two consecutive divisions of meiosis I and II. Meiosis I reduces chromosome number by separating homologous chromosomes, while meiosis II separates sister chromatids, yielding four haploid cells from one diploid precursor. A defining meiotic event is prophase I, where homologous chromosomes pair, undergo synapsis, and exchange genetic material through crossing over, creating new allele combinations.
