Medialortskovals are a hypothetical species of bioluminescent avian creatures believed to inhabit the dense, subterranean cavern systems of the planet Xylos. Their name derives from a combination of ancient Xylosian terms meaning "light" and "forest dweller." These creatures are characterized by their large, wing-like appendages, which are not used for flight in the traditional sense but rather for gliding through the cavern's vast open spaces. Their most striking feature is their patterned bioluminescence, which emanates from specialized organs along their bodies and wings.
