magneettinauhoilla
Magneettinauhoilla, known in English as magnetic tape, is a storage medium used to record and store audio, video, and computer data. It consists of a long, thin strip of plastic coated with a magnetizable layer, typically iron oxide or chromium dioxide. This coating allows the tape to be magnetized in specific patterns, which represent the information being stored.
The principle behind magnetic tape recording was developed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Audio
Data is written to and read from magnetic tape using a read/write head, which contains an electromagnet.
