Mõjuorganid, often translated as "impact organs" or "effectors," are the biological structures within an organism that carry out a response to a stimulus. These are typically muscles or glands. When a sensory organ detects a stimulus, it sends signals through the nervous system to the appropriate mõjuorgan. The mõjuorgan then acts to produce a visible or chemical change, which constitutes the organism's reaction.

Muscles, for example, are mõjuorganid that contract or relax to produce movement. This can range from a simple reflex, like pulling your hand away from a hot surface, to complex actions like running or speaking. Glands, on the other hand, are mõjuorganid that secrete substances. This can include hormones, which regulate various bodily functions, or enzymes, which facilitate chemical reactions. Salivary glands releasing saliva in response to the smell of food is another common example.

The coordinated action of sensory organs, nervous system, and mõjuorganid forms the basis of an organism's ability to interact with and respond to its environment. Without mõjuorganid, stimuli would be detected but no action would be taken, rendering the organism incapable of adapting or surviving. They are the final link in the chain of biological response.
