Läbirääkimisjõud refers to the power or leverage that a party possesses in a negotiation. It is the ability to influence the outcome of a discussion and achieve one's desired results. This power is not static and can fluctuate throughout the negotiation process. Several factors contribute to a party's läbirääkimisjõud.

One significant factor is the availability of alternatives. If a party has strong BATNA (Best Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement), meaning they have attractive options outside of the current negotiation, their bargaining power is generally higher. Conversely, a lack of good alternatives weakens one's position.

Another important element is information. Parties who possess more relevant information, such as market prices, competitor strategies, or the other party's needs and constraints, often have an advantage. This knowledge can be used to frame proposals, identify weaknesses, and make more informed decisions.

The perception of power also plays a role. If a party is perceived as having more leverage, even if the objective factors don't fully support it, they might be able to exert greater influence. This perception can be built through reputation, confidence, and effective communication.

Finally, the stakes involved and the importance of the negotiation to each party influence bargaining power. If a deal is crucial for one party's survival or success, while less critical for the other, the less dependent party will likely have stronger läbirääkimisjõud. Understanding and assessing these factors are key to successful negotiation strategies.
