Luftmodstanden, also known as the "Air Resistance" or "Air Resistance Movement," refers to a period of civil disobedience and protest in Denmark during World War II. The movement emerged in response to the Danish government's decision to cooperate with the Nazi occupation forces, particularly regarding the deportation of Danish Jews. While Denmark avoided mass deportations of its Jewish population—thanks in part to the efforts of King Christian X and the Danish Resistance—some Danes still felt compelled to resist Nazi policies in other ways.

The term *Luftmodstanden* literally translates to "air resistance," a metaphorical reference to the idea of passive yet persistent opposition. Unlike active sabotage or armed resistance, this movement involved everyday acts of defiance, such as refusing to salute Nazi officials, avoiding German military service, and engaging in civil disobedience. Many Danes also participated in the underground press, distributing anti-Nazi propaganda and news from the Allied side.
