locativepartitive
Locative-partitive is a term used in Finno-Ugric linguistics to describe a common construction in Finnish and related languages in which a noun phrase denoting a location is inflected for a locative case, while the noun describing what exists there takes the partitive case. The construction is most common in existential clauses expressing the presence of something in a location.
For example, in Finnish the sentence "Talossa on ruokaa" literally means there is food in the house.
The locative-partitive construction can vary with different locative forms depending on the relationship to the location
In Finnish and related languages, the construction is a productive and characteristic way to express the existence
