Linjeflyg AB was a Swedish scheduled airline that operated domestic services within Sweden from the late 1950s until the early 1990s. It was established to operate point-to-point and feeder services for the Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) network, serving smaller cities and regional routes that were not covered by the mainline carriers.

Operations and network: Based in Stockholm, with its main hub at Bromma Airport, Linjeflyg built a network across Swedish destinations including Gothenburg, Malmö, Umeå, Luleå, Sundsvall, Visby, and other regional centers. It served both passenger and, at times, charter operations. The airline worked as a partner of SAS, feeding traffic into the SAS network and providing domestic connectivity with a small fleet of regional aircraft.

History: Linjeflyg was established in the late 1950s as a cooperative arrangement between Swedish carriers to improve domestic connectivity. Over the 1960s–1980s, it expanded routes and optimized schedules, helping SAS to increase its presence in the Swedish domestic market. In the late 1980s, SAS increased its ownership stake in Linjeflyg, and the airline was gradually integrated into the SAS system. By the early 1990s, Linjeflyg ceased to operate as a separate brand, with its routes and operations absorbed into SAS Sweden.

Fleet: Throughout its existence, Linjeflyg operated a fleet suited to regional routes, including smaller turboprop and jet aircraft appropriate for short domestic hops. The exact aircraft types varied over time as the fleet was updated.

Legacy: The Linjeflyg brand disappeared as operations were folded into SAS, with many routes continuing under the SAS banner. The merger reflected broader changes in the Scandinavian airline market and the consolidation of regional aviation within SAS.
