Liioitellun is a fictional mineral described in the science fiction universe known as the Northern Veil. It is a lithium-rich silicate characterized by its luminescent inclusions and complex crystal habit. The term is used in in-universe geology texts to illustrate speculative mineralogical processes.

Etymology and properties: The name combines the surname of the fictional geologist Liioi with the suffix -tellun, from a language in the setting meaning stone. Liioitellun crystallizes in the hexagonal system, commonly as tabular or prismatic crystals up to a few centimeters. It appears pale blue to lavender and has a vitreous to resinous luster. Under ultraviolet light it exhibits green fluorescence. Reported approximate composition is lithium-rich silicate with aluminum and silicon oxides; trace elements such as manganese and iron modulate color and luminescence. Mohs hardness is described as 5–6; density about 3.1–3.3 g/cm3.

Occurrence and uses: In the narrative, liioitellun forms in ultra-high-temperature hydrothermal veins within pegmatitic pockets on tectonically active planetary bodies, most notably on the fictional planet Kairon. It is sought for energy-storage concepts in in-universe technology and used as a gemstone in spacefaring culture due to its unique glow. Extraction is challenging because of its deep, intergrown crystals and remote locations.
