Liikluskindlustus, also known as mandatory motor liability insurance, is a legal requirement for all vehicle owners in many countries, including Estonia. Liikluskindlustus does not generally cover damages to your own vehicle or injuries sustained by the driver or passengers of the at-fault vehicle. For such coverage, separate voluntary insurance policies like kasko (comprehensive insurance) may be purchased. The cost of liikluskindlustus varies based on several factors, including the type of vehicle, the driver's age and driving history, the geographical area of registration, and the chosen coverage limits. Insurers offer different policy options, allowing vehicle owners to select coverage levels that best suit their needs.
