Licencí (in Czech often used in the instrumental form licencí) denotes a formal authorization issued by a competent authority that permits a person or entity to perform a specific activity, or to use a certain right, under defined conditions. A licence can establish the scope, duration, and obligations connected with the activity, and it may be required by law for reasons of safety, professional competence, public interest, or protection of rights.

Licencí appears in many areas of public administration and private law. Administrative licences cover activities regulated by the state, such as driving, operating certain businesses, or construction. Professional licences ensure required qualifications and standards for occupations like medicine, law, or engineering.
