liaoningensis

Liaoningensis is a Latinized species epithet used in the scientific names of organisms to indicate that the species originated from or is associated with Liaoning Province in northeastern China. In zoological and botanical nomenclature, the suffix -ensis denotes origin, so liaoningensis literally means “of Liaoning.” It is not a genus or a stand-alone taxon, but a descriptor attached to a genus name to form a species name.
