Levaya is a Hebrew term that refers to the funeral procession and accompanying rituals in Jewish tradition. It is a deeply significant and often somber event, focused on mourning the deceased, honoring their memory, and providing comfort to the bereaved family. The levaya typically takes place shortly after death, reflecting the Jewish emphasis on prompt burial.

The procession itself often involves a hearse carrying the coffin, accompanied by mourners walking behind.
