Ledningsmotstanden is a Swedish term that translates to "conduction resistance" or "line resistance" in English. It refers to the electrical resistance encountered when current flows through a conductive material, such as a wire or a cable. This resistance is an inherent property of the material and depends on several factors.

The primary factors influencing ledningsmotstanden are the material's resistivity, the length of the conductor, and its cross-sectional area. Higher resistivity materials, like nichrome, exhibit greater resistance than materials with lower resistivity, such as copper or aluminum.
