Larongbata, or larong-bata, is the collection of traditional Filipino children's games played by children in the Philippines. These games are typically outdoors and require little equipment, often improvised from everyday objects such as bottle caps, stones, tin cans, chalk, ropes, slippers, or improvised balls. The rules and names vary by region, but they share common genres: chase and tag games, jumping and skipping games, and ball or marbles games. Popular examples include patintero (a line-crossing game), tumbang preso (knock-down can with a slipper), luksong tinik (leapfrog over a "thorn"), sipa (kick the shuttlecock), and piko (hopscotch).
