külastavate
Külastavate is an Estonian grammatical form derived from the verb külastama (to visit). It is the genitive plural form of the present active participle külastav, and it functions as an adjective-like modifier in noun phrases where the head noun is in the genitive case. In such phrases, külastavate agrees with the genitive plural of the noun it modifies.
The present active participle külastav denotes someone or something that visits. When used in the genitive
- külastavate inimeste arv = the number of people who visit (visiting people)
- külastavate ettevõtete turundusstrateegiad = marketing strategies of visiting companies (companies that visit)
Külastavate is distinct from külastajad (the nominative plural noun visitors) and külastajate (genitive plural of külastaja).
