In quantum mechanics, particles and fields exhibit quantized properties, meaning they exist in discrete, indivisible units. When these quantized entities interact or influence each other, the resulting processes are described as kvanttienväliset. This concept is fundamental to understanding many quantum phenomena, including entanglement, quantum tunneling, and the exchange of virtual particles in quantum field theory.
