kultúrkúlu is an annual Hungarian cultural festival established in 2012 by the Ministry of Culture and Innovation. It was conceived as a platform to promote interdisciplinary artistic collaboration and to broaden public access to contemporary arts across the country. The festival’s name, derived from the Hungarian words for “culture” and “curl”, reflects its aim to weave together diverse cultural strands into a cohesive tapestry.

The festival takes place in multiple venues each year, ranging from historic theaters in Budapest to community centers in rural regions. It typically runs over a two-week period during late summer, featuring performances in music, dance, theatre, visual arts, and multimedia installations.
