korkopäivitykset
Korkopäivitykset, often translated as interest rate adjustments or repricing, refer to the process by which variable interest rates on financial products are recalculated based on prevailing market conditions. This typically occurs at predetermined intervals, such as monthly, quarterly, or annually, as stipulated in the loan or deposit agreement. The adjustment is usually linked to a reference rate, such as Euribor, the prime rate, or a central bank policy rate. When the reference rate changes, the interest rate on the financial product is updated accordingly.
For borrowers, a rising reference rate leads to higher interest payments, increasing the cost of borrowing.
